International forum for exchange of physiotherapy research and discussion of professional issues
The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) is the sole international voice for physical therapy, representing more than 300,000 physical therapists worldwide through its 101 member organisations. The confederation operates as a non-profit organisation and is registered as a charity in the UK.
Every four years WCPT hosts a scientific congress showcasing advancements in physical therapy research, practice and education. This spectacular event brings together more than 3,500 physical therapists.
Internationally the profession is diverse in terms of its scientific, education, practice and policy perspectives. But there is a clear common purpose to provide high quality effective patient-centred care.
Above and beyond providing the bestscientific programme anywhere in the world of physical therapy, WCPT congress is the meeting ground for physical therapists, [whether a student, clinican, manager, educator, researcher or policy-maker] who want to share information, organise exchanges on professional matters, and network with international colleagues. With a range of session formats including keynote speeches, focused symposia, workshops, discussion panels, networking sessions and free papers, there is something to appeal to everyone.
No matter where in the world you practice, you are welcome in Amsterdam, 20-23 June 2011!
