WCPT launches new website
“After months of development with web designers and programmers, we are very pleased with the finished result and believe it will offer real benefits to our member organisations and physical therapists around the world”, comments Brenda Myers, Secretary General of WCPT.
The new site has eight main sections making information readily accessible. New sections include:
Publications: WCPT News and e-update, along with keynotes, PR materials and recently issued WHO publications
Education: a brand new section with details on continuing professional development opportunities and international development vacancies
Practice: essential information on delivering high quality physical therapy services
Global health: details on the international health programmes and campaigns supported by WCPT along with information of WCPT work with WHO
The WCPT President, Marilyn Moffat, sums up the project’s objectives, “Our primary goal is for the WCPT website to be the primary international portal for information about the profession and WCPT. We want to provide visitors around the world with user-friendly, reliable and timely information. We feel this has been achieved and packaged in a very attractive and eye-catching design.”
From Thursday 10th April, website visitors will be able to sign-up to specific areas of interest and receive e-alerts whenever new material is added. Go to www.wcpt.org/user/register and login to benefit from the new opportunities on offer.
The website has been developed in line with international accessibility guidelines.
